WHITENING COMPLEX
Description Thick greenish to yellowish liquid with citric, herbal odor
Active Ingredients and their properties -Parsley extract: An excellent anti-oxidant, protects the skin against free radical damage caused by the sun’s darkening rays, chemicals, pollution... It contains Apiol, a phenol derivative, that acts as a mild bleaching agent, reducing the molecular structure of the melanin into a none colored one. -Kojic Acid: A natural product of the fermentation of carbohydrates. It has been successfully used to lighten pigment spots and skin discoloration. It is not harsh on the skin and has powerful anti-oxidizing (protective and anti-aging) properties. It inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, a skin enzyme that induces and stimulates the synthesizing of the melanin (the skin coloring pigment). This unique mechanism lightens the color of the skin, unifies it and attenuates visibly the brown spots. =Cirtrus fruit extract: Rich in AHA: Which erases dead cells and eliminates the hyper pigmented surface cells, diminishing the pigmentation blemishes and leaving a soft clear and radiant skin. It is also rich in vitamin C, which has a strong anti-oxidant power, protect ing the skin from aging and enhancing its regeneration. -L(+) Lactic acid & its Lactates are natural substances present in human body ( blood, kidney, muscles, skin and hair) . -Sodium lactate is a part of the NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). L(+) Lactic acid present in the skin, reduces skin pH. It is the milder AHA and the less irritative one, and was discovered lately to have many skin beneficial properties. L(+) Lactic acid and its Lactates is used as a multi-functional ingredient in skin care products. It has anti-microbial, pH regulating, moisturizing, humectant, skin rejuvenating and most of all whitening properties. -Olive Leaves extract: see specific study attached. Rich in poly-phenols and flavonoids with anti-oxidant, anti-aging and whitening effect.
The Mechanism of Action of the Whitening Complex: It is a combination of different compounds acting at different stages of the melanin formation to give a proven synergistic effect. Lactic acid and Sodium Lactate act by suppression of the formation of tyrosinase. Kojic acid, Lemon and Parsley extracts rich in vitamin C (ascorbic acid) act by inhibition of the activity of tyrosinase. Parsley extract rich in Apiol (polyphenol) acts by bleaching melanin. Tests have shown that the presence of different natural whitening ingredients in the same formulation has a synergistic effect. See specific study attached.
Application In skin whitening products to enlighten dark or dull skin and diminish dark spots and chloasma: Whitening creams, gels, soaps, deodorants, body lotion…

Toleration For the manufacture of cosmetic preparation, this complex is non-irritant to the intact skin. No objection to the application of low concentration preparations containing this complex in the vicinity of the eye.
Storage At cellar temperature (protected from light, in well closed containers. For good efficiency, this extract should not be stored for longer than 1 year before processing. |
