SEAWEED EXTRACT
SEAWEED supply a third of the O2 in the atmosphere and contribute to the sea's self purification process.
Description Dark green to brownish liquid, with a mild seaweed odor.
Active Ingredients A mixture of green and red algae harvested from Mediterranean shores in summer. General analysis results are given below: Protein 55-70%, Carbohydrates 15-25%, Fats (lipids) 4-7%, Minerals: 5-10%, Fiber: 4-7%, Moisture: 2-7%, Chlorophyll % Betacarotene: 6% Amino acids: Alanine, Arginine, Aspartic ac., Cystine, Glutamic ac., Glycine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phennylalanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Tyrosine, Valine. Properties There is a powerful analogy between sea water and blood plasma( very similar in mineral composition), between algae and skin (regulate exchange and protect from the aggressive environment). Seaweed extract possess therapeutic and curative properties. Seaweed extracts are used to overcome various cosmetic disorders: skins that are dehydrated, that suffers from pollution, that are hypersensitive or hyper reactive. The list of benefits includes skin softening, remineralizing, cleansing, moisturizing, scar healing, detoxifying, toning, slimming, rejuvenating, firming, promoting internal balance… Many of the properties listed result simply from the hydrating and nourishing action of algae they are a rich source of vitamins and trace elements. Essential fatty acids have anti-inflammatory activity, enzymes and poly-saccharides (alginic acid which is a structural component of the cell wall and has anti-inflammatory activity ). Seaweed extracts are active in the fight against aging and gradual tissue deterioration, by inhibiting enzymes responsible for harming collagen and elastin, and by stimulating pro-collagen synthesis. They have restructuring activity on scarred or aging tissue.There is also evident action on the cell metabolism, due to the high iodine content. Storage Refrigerated 2-4 C (protected from light, in well closed containers. For good efficiency, seaweed extract should not be stored for longer than 1 year before processing. |
